John Grisham's first book for middle-grade readers—and book one in a planned series—will no doubt have wide appeal. Readers loving an action planned plot will love this book. The only child of two busy lawyers, Theo’s passion in life is the law. He hangs out at the courthouse in his small city, and he knows every lawyer, judge, court clerk and cop in town. In a closet-sized office, he gives legal advice to classmates when their parents are filing for divorce or their pets are charged with violating the leash law. When a big murder case goes to trial, Theo organizes a field trip for his government class to observe the first day’s proceedings. When he finds out about a mysterious eyewitness to the murder, he is at his wits end. No one else is aware of the witness’ existence, and it’s up to Theo to convince him to come forward and tell the judge what he knows. Otherwise, a guilty murderer will walk free. How can he make sure that justice is served, without putting himself and his family in grave danger? I enjoyed the book a lot. Theo Bone rocks here. Once you are in the middle of the book, its hard to leave it behind. If you love suspense thrillers with kids as the main characters, then this is the right book for you.

The third book in the series is pretty nice one. Our naughty Elizabeth Allen is back again. It is the story of Elizabeth Allen, who is made a monitor and then risks her position by accusing Julian, a fellow student, of being a thief who tricks her and making her lose her place as a monitor, by playing tricks on her such as making irritating water drops fall on her head, making her books fall thrice, making the teacher to send her out and putting sneezing powder in her book which enters her nose on opening the book and tickles her nostrils, causing her to sneeze. Elizabeth also quarrels with another fellow student, Arabella Buckley, who is vain and selfish and disobeyed the school rules about pocket money. She also makes a midnight feast for her birthday. Elizabeth then sees Julian taking biscuits from the old games locker and thinks he is stealing. She is made to resign her position as a school monitor but ultimately gets it back when she saves a small child from drowning. The real thief- Martin- is discovered at the place. You will surely like this book.
My favorite book in the Malory Towers series is undoubtedly 'In the Fifth at Malory Towers'. Darrell Rivers is back again with new boarding school mysteries. The well- made plot is like this: Darrell and her sister Felicity, who are in the fifth and first form respectively, are going back to Malory Towers. Darrell meets a new girl Maureen, and 2 girls who were left behind in the fifth, Moira and Catherine. They are two of the worst people, as the new fifth formers think, because Moira is too much bossy, hard and dictatorial, while and Catherine is always tagging to help people. Since the girls are fifth formers, they cannot play Tricks (as they love to), but the first formers play a successful trick, but June (The trickster) gets punished. Darrell, Sally, and the rest of the fifth formers are told that they have to do the Christmas entertainment. So, in a meeting, they decide that they would do a pantomime on "Cinderella". Meanwhile, Maureen and Gwendoline Mary are friends, though Maureen annoys Gwen a lot. But Gwen is also like that, and she knows it all right! And both are after one thing, i.e. the role of Cinderella in the play. But I won't tell who gets the role of Cinderella. While Darrell and Sally are writing the script of the pantomime,Irene is with music,Janet with dresses, and Belinda with scenery and designs. The show is held at the end of the term, and is successful. Darrell is happy with her play, which she has written and is appreciated for. So, I give this book the tag of 'MUST READ'.
