My favorite book in the Malory Towers series is undoubtedly 'In the Fifth at Malory Towers'. Darrell Rivers is back again with new boarding school mysteries. The well- made plot is like this:
Darrell and her sister Felicity, who are in the fifth and first form respectively, are going back to Malory Towers. Darrell meets a new girl Maureen, and 2 girls who were left behind in the fifth, Moira and Catherine. They are two of the worst people, as the new fifth formers think, because Moira is too much bossy, hard and dictatorial, while and Catherine is always tagging to help people.
Since the girls are fifth formers, they cannot play Tricks (as they love to), but the first formers play a successful trick, but June (The trickster) gets punished.
Darrell, Sally, and the rest of the fifth formers are told that they have to do the Christmas entertainment.So, in a meeting, they decide that they would do a pantomime on "Cinderella".
Meanwhile, Maureen and Gwendoline Mary are friends, though Maureen annoys Gwen a lot. But Gwen is also like that, and she knows it all right! And both are after one thing, i.e. the role of Cinderella in the play. But I won't tell who gets the role of Cinderella.
While Darrell and Sally are writing the script of the pantomime,Irene is with music,Janet with dresses, and Belinda with scenery and designs.
The show is held at the end of the term, and is successful. Darrell is happy with her play, which she has written and is appreciated for.
So, I give this book the tag of 'MUST READ'.

This book was fabulous and an amazing one.I enjoyed a lot reading it.Author of this book is an amazing writer.Enid Blyton is full of great ideas and has written number of books which were fabulous.Malory Towers is a series of books and this is 5th one.All the series are very good.Some of them are 2nd year@ malory towers and many more like this.This series is all about a boarding school life of girls.This school,Malory Towers,The school,Malory Towers has 4 towers that are 4 storeys high. The kitchen, dining hall and common rooms are on the ground floor, dormitories are on the first and second floors, teachers rooms and storage are on the top floor. The school forms a square with a courtyard in the middle. The sides of the school are 3 stories high. Between the west and the north towers there are the classrooms. Between the north and east towers is the San and the headmistresses rooms. Between the east and south towers are the entrance, gym, assembly hall, labs and art room. Between the south and west tower are the mistresses rooms.The school also has stables, tennis courts, sports pitches and an outside, natural swimming pool.It is a fantastic school.In this book Darrel Rivers is one of the main characters.Darrell, Sally, Alicia and all of their friends are now in the Fifth form at Malory Towers. They look forward to being in Miss James' class but also find out that fierce Moira Linton, the old fifth form head has been left down with Catherine Gray, a saintly but very silly girl. This makes the new fifth formers uncomfortable. Even worse is the new girl in their form, Maureen Little. Hilariously she has exactly the same character as Gwendoline, and the two are forced to become friends . On the second day of term, Miss James announces that the fifth form are to provide some entertainment at Christmas, so they decide to produce their own pantomime of 'Cinderella', which Darrell is asked to write. She thoroughly enjoys this new task in addition to being made Games Captain. In the pantomime little Mary Lou is playing role of cinderella. There are tricks to be played,mischiefs to be done and fun.Here Sally, Darrel's best friend is head of the form and is a good and capable.this book was humorous.I felt to read it again as it was a good one. I would suggst this book to my dear friends.

In the Fifth at Malory Towers is a school story children's novel written by Enid Blyton. It is the fifth book in her Malory Towers series, and, like other books in the series, follows Darrel Rivers at the eponymous girls' boarding school

As the parts of the play are handed out, Darrell and Sally are writing the script of the pantomime,Irene with music,Janet with dresses, and Belinda with scenery and designs.
And then, Felicity plays her first match, and shoots the winning goal, and Mora gets anonymous letters, and Alicia and Betty resign from the show (Because of Moira). Soon, June is discovered to be the one who is writing poison-pen letters, and is going to be expelled. But Moira saves her from being expelled, and Alicia and Betty join back in to the show.
Then, Mam'Zelle plays a Trick with hideous teeth. The girls loved the trick, and the staff was disapproving.
The end of the term was near, and the show was held, and successful. Darrell was so happy with her play, that she had written.
