I guess the Adventure Series of Enid Blyton are not much read as you don't always get them in the bookstores. But, if you ever get them, just buy it. Because, you'll find them amazing. The Mountain adventure goes like this: A stay in a remote farmhouse in Wales should be a quiet and peaceful holiday for Philip, Dinah, Jack and Lucy-Ann. And indeed, there seems little likelihood of any new adventures cropping up as they set out on a camping trip on donkey-back in search of the beautiful Vale of Butterflies. But when they become lost in the thick mountain mist, strange things start to happen. Before too long, the children discover a mountain stronghold that hides a bizarre and dangerous secret experiment — one whose culprits will stop at nothing to protect their sinister activities. An amazing book which provides you with lot of thrill. There are many twists and turns. But as usual, our characters win the battle(not a war).
The Mystery of the Disappearing Cat is the second in the 'Five Find-Outers' series of children's mystery novels by Enid Blyton. It follows the first book in the series, The Mystery of the Burnt Cottage. It tells of a stolen cat that five children work to uncover. Pip and Bets are pleased when the once empty house next door is now lived in by Lady Candling and her valuable prize winning Siamese Cats. One in particular is very special, and is called Dark Queen. However, they don't like Mr Tupping, the horrid gardener, who is bad-tempered and very unpleasant to Luke, who also works in the garden. Then mysteriously Dark Queen is stolen, and all the clues point to the Find-Outers friend, Luke. They set about trying to find Dark Queen and prove that Luke is innocent. Much to the annoyance of Mr Goon, they find out who the real culprit is. Do read this book. You'll love it.
Famous Five! Who does not know this famous series. Nearly every child reading books knows this series. And they love to read them too. Five on a Treasure Island is the first in the series. Julian, Dick and Anne are thrilled and curious when they discover that they are going to be spending the summer holidays with an unknown cousin, in a cottage beside the sea! George is a strange girl, who won't answer to her full name: Georgina, and though at first she isn't pleased that she has got company - little does she realize the excitement ahead after they become good friends, that will involve her very own island, a mysterious map, and a wreck thrown up in a storm! Alongside George's dog, Timmy (who is a strictly concealed secret amongst the children as Georgina's parents don't allow it), the children have some truly breath-taking adventures in this first, fantastic Famous Five book! And therefore, I strictly recommend this book to you. Because, once you start reading this book, you'll be tempted to read more.
