Five on a Hike Together 2015-06-28

A really wonderful book this is. I must have read it more than once. It was a long time ago, but this being my favorite mystery, I remember it clearly. The story's really nice and the plots a nice easy one. The for children and their dog( that's why they are called famous five though I can't see how the dog comes in that group) decide to go on a hike across the moors. The children decide to stay at farmhouses and inns for the nights and so they set off. An escaped convict is roaming freely in the moors and before they know, they are on his trail. By the way, you should read the story as it has more than I have described.

Five Get into Trouble 2015-06-28

Another exciting book from 'Famous Five' series this is. I loved the way the plot has been woven and Enid Blyton's writing style is really wonderful. The story goes like this: The five children- Julian, Dick, Anne, George and Timmy (dog) are on a cycling trip together across the countryside and they come across Richard Kent who is the son of one of the richest men in the country. Dick is kidnapped by a man who thinks that Dick is Richard and the four Julian, Anne, George and Timmy go to search him. A book worth a read.

What Katy Did 2015-06-28

A simply amazing classic. I read the book and believe me, I made a note to read its sequels too. This book is about a really naughty girl who has lost her mother and lives with her father, a doctor. She also has siblings- Clover, Dorry, Joanna, Elsie, and Phil. Katy is always getting into some sort of trouble like she has been talking in class. She tears her clothes because she’s always rushing to be somewhere else, somewhere more fun. She's really naughty. She has big dreams too. She wants to do something grand. She also wants to be beautiful. She has a cousin Helen, who is an invalid. Katy is in awe of her. Then once, Katy herself gets bedridden due to an accident and then her life loses all its fun... You must certainly read this book. Don't miss it for anything.

james and the giant peach 2015-06-28

it is an awesome book.James and the Giant Peach is a much-loved children’s book written by the world-renowned Welsh author Roald Dahl. First published in the US in 1961 and the UK in 1967, the book’s rich imagery and amusing characters have made it a firm favourite of both children and parents for over 50 years. When poor James Henry Trotter loses his parents in a horrible rhinoceros accident, he is forced to live with his two wicked aunts, Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker. After three years he becomes "the saddest and loneliest boy you could find". Then one day, a wizened old man in a dark-green suit gives James a bag of magic crystals that promise to reverse his misery forever. When James accidentally spills the crystals on his aunts' withered peach tree, he sets the adventure in motion. From the old tree a single peach grows, and grows, and grows some more, until finally James climbs inside the giant fruit and rolls away from his despicable aunts to a whole new life… Roald Dahl wrote many excellent children’s books and James and the Giant Peach is up there amongst his very best. This brilliant and hugely popular story of James’s journey to New York alongside his insect friends is a joy for children to read and a delight for parents to read from. The book’s humour is always warm and the story is always engaging, providing a multitude of memorable moments.
