This is a different version of the classic fairy tale 'Cinderella.' But this is a wonderful version, not all boring to read. I'd say that this is more better than 'Cinderella.' Well, talking about its plot, I'll tell this book's summary. Ella is given a boon by a fairy called Lucinda. The blessing is that of obedience. That means Ella has to obey anybody who orders her. Her mother dies and her father remarries. The story repeated. However, unlike Cinderella, Ella has to depend on herself and not on a fairy god mother to break the boon. This book is worth a read for all middle school goers. 5 STARS.
