This story follows the story of the criminal mastermind, Artemis Fowl II. After his father, on the fowl star is ambushed by the Russian mafia, and gets captured. Young Artemis, seeks help from the fairies , in an agreement to help him save his father in trade to thwart the goblin rebellion.
